Free for students and academic researchers
The FigureGuild free plan is free forever — not a time-limited trial. It includes access to the Graph Builder, Figure Assembler, and 1,500 AI credits (one-time) for graphical abstract generation. There's no credit card required to start.
For most PhD students and postdocs producing figures for one or two papers per year, the free tier is sufficient. Paid plans add monthly credit refills — Starter gives 30,000 credits/month at $6, Pro gives 100,000 credits/month at $19 — along with higher-resolution export options and priority generation.
How FigureGuild compares to BioRender and Prism
BioRender — BioRender charges starting around $35–$99/month for a single researcher license and requires institutional sign-off for academic publication. FigureGuild has no institutional requirement and a permanent free tier.
